Embedded Talk “Next-Generation IoT – Communication and AI”

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the 17th Embedded Talk took place for the first time as part of the Nuremberg Digital Festival at Fraunhofer IIS at Nordostpark in Nuremberg. The Embedded Talk is a series of events organized by Fraunhofer IIS and the FAU Research Center ESI. The topic of this edition was “Next-Generation IoT – Communication and AI”. Around 115 participants took the opportunity to discuss current research and developments in this field and to network.

The Chair of Computer Science 12 (Hardware-Software-Co-Design) was represented at the accompanying exhibition with two stands  on the topics of “On-Device Training of Fully Quantized Deep Neural Networks on Cordes-M Microcontrollers” (Mark Deutel) and “Energy Management in Energy-Harvesting IoT” (Pierre-Loius Sixdenier).
